🗳️MEET OUR 2026-2027 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES!!

✨CANDIDATE #1: Kia Moazzami

Voting for me, means 3 things for you:
1) More genuine and long-lasting connections with other MD students
2) Career Development opportunities, through feedback-enhanced mentorship programs,
centralized accessible Career Night resources and more
3) A medical school journey that is as enjoyable and fun as possible

And why should you believe I’ll get the job done? Simply put: I’ve done it before, and I am ecstatic
to do it again.

As President of the Pharmacy Society in my prior PharmD program, I held a nearly identical role,
planning school-wide and provincial events that built community while supporting professional
growth. And I plan to utilize the lessons I learned to even better serve my peers in medicine.

My promise is simple: to help make your years in the MD program some of the most memorable
and exciting years ahead.

A vote for Kia is a vote for an epic chapter in your medical journey.

✨CANDIDATE #2: Sophia Park
My name is Sophia, and I am running to be your next MedSoc Exec President! As the past President of the Johns Hopkins Women’s Pre-Health Leadership Society and Student Rep on my major’s Advisory Board, I am confident I can advocate for YOUR needs and push for more social, academic, and networking opportunities. Coming into this role, my main goal is to foster more connection within our community of 1000+ students. I know how hard it can be to navigate med
school while still feeling connected within our large class. If elected, I aim to create more cross-academy socials such as coffee chats and mixers that connect students with peers and faculty across hospitals. I also hope to strengthen class integration by initiating a clerk-preclerk mentorship program. Lastly, I aim to improve transparency around MedSoc’s ongoing work through consistent social media updates and a feedback linktree.
