Victoria College's National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women Ceremony is at 2:00pm today in the Cecil M. Atrium (at the Goldring Student Centre right outside the VUSAC Office). December 6th is the anniversary of the École Polytechnique massacre of 1989, in which female students were murdered by an armed student in the name of "fighting feminism".
There will be two musical performances, speeches given, and candles lit. Please do attend if you can, to remember the lives lost at Polytechnique and more generally to women and other minorities who have experienced violence in their lives.
