I really just came here to teach 🤭😂
…but on a serious note, it’s truly a full circle moment teaching my classmates’ kids, the next generation 💙✨

Stop guessing big words and start teaching them the RIGHT way 💙

If your child struggles with reading longer words, this simple chin trick can make a huge difference.

Each time the chin drops = one syllable ✔️
And just like that, big words become easier to break down and read.

Watch how my students use this strategy in class and how we even turn it into a fun game 🎮

Save this and try it with your child tonight. You’ll be surprised at how quickly it clicks!

“Just a teacher? Never.” 🍎

02/20/2026

Not every child needs more pressure.
Sometimes they just need teaching that fits 💛

Today’s session included order of operations using manipulatives, games, worksheets, and technology ✨

Real learning. Real engagement. Real confidence 📚

Plus a dance break with the teacher 💃🏽

🚂📚 Literacy Lab Tip: Try Continuous Blending

If your child struggles with sounding out words one letter at a time…
stop. pause. stop. pause…

Let’s try something different.

Instead of segmenting every single sound separately, we teach continuous blending.

Think of it like a train.

When you’re on a train, you don’t stop at every letter.
You keep moving…
and you pick up the sounds along the way.

Sssssuuuuunnnnn ➡️ sun ☀️

No choppy stops.
No frustration.
Just smooth blending.

Sometimes it’s not that a child “can’t read.”
They just need a different strategy.

Welcome to The Literacy Lab 🔬💙
Where we teach smarter, not harder.

DM us “READ” if your child needs support.

Not all books keep teens engaged.
And if it’s not interesting… they’re just not reading. 📚

For Grades 7–9, we look for stories that:
✨ build empathy
✨ spark discussion
✨ strengthen critical thinking
✨ actually hold their attention

Wonder challenges perspective.
The Hunger Games builds analysis through story.

Strong stories. Stronger readers. 💙

Because reading at this stage isn’t about decoding words,
it’s about thinking deeply and making connections.
