Master of Health-Nursing
The aim of the Master of Health is to enable health professionals to broaden and develop an in-depth understanding of, and capacity to contribute to and research specialized areas of health including:
● Rural and remote (incorporating scheduled medicines)
● Community health
● Gerontology
● Advanced Clinical Practice
● Health Leadership (incorporating clinical education)
● Mental health
● General

Master of Nursing Program objectives
On completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
● use research evidence to improve the quality of care delivered within their sphere of influence
● use contemporary leadership theory, including leadership styles to function as effective leaders in their chosen area of nursing or health care
● act as mentors for, and give support to, fellow nurses or other health care workers to enhance quality of care provision and embed principles of lifelong learning into their practice
● understand and implement ethical research principles and practices
● design and implement a research project or significant scholarly activity within a selected discipline area
● apply current research techniques and methodology in pursuit of specific research goals
● demonstrate competence in and appropriate use of language and literacy, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and bibliographic referencing.
