2021 marks the 10 Year anniversary of the Canadian Association for Equality and the Canadian Centres for Men and Families. Here is a recap of what we've accomplished, with your support:
* We opened the very first Family Shelter for abused men and children, which has welcomed over 25 resident families to date!
* We co-produced the 2019 documentary Erasing Family, released to critical acclaim
* We received intervenor status in the Supreme Court case R v Langan, and argued before the highest court that male stereotypes can lead to wrongful convictions
* We completed a federal government funded research project, "Studying Male Homelessness as a Consequence of Domestic Violence."
* We host the annual event MOMENTUM: The Canadian National Men's Issues Conference, the largest gathering of its kind in Canada
* We ran three billboard awareness campaigns, focusing on su***de prevention and parental alienation
* We operate first-of-their-kind Canadian Centres for Men and Families in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, St. Thomas and York Region - and we are on track to open a Centre in Vancouver.
On International Men's Day, help us build on this momentum. Let's make the next 10 years even more impactful for the men and families that are counting on us.
Thank you for your leadership in joining with us on behalf of men and boys!
