Welcome to the Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology where students learn for the real world from the best & the brightest to become the best & the brightest. We offer comprehensive programs in design, engineering and engineering technology, skilled trades & apprenticeships. With more than 40 programs offered across a span of applied technology industries, we are preparing our students for careers of the future. Academic theory blended with applied learning provides a strong educational foundation, while state-¬of¬-the¬-art facilities, work placements, and apprenticeships provide experiential learning in the classroom, and in the industry. Our students graduate with the critical thinking and hands-on skills that will launch their emerging careers. Today’s skills-based and knowledge-based economy requires highly qualified skilled future leaders who can creatively approach and solve multidisciplinary, open-ended problems on a global landscape. We hosted First Year Engineering Orientation for our School of Engineering students where new friendships were made and balloon-powered cars were raced! 🎈🚗

Our Industrial Woodworking Technician students recently hosted a student showcase, putting their talent, creativity and craftsmanship on full display!

As part of their final year, students designed and crafted stunning pieces of furniture that showcase the skills they’ve developed throughout their program, from working with the natural beauty of wood to precision construction and finishing.

The showcase was a celebration of their hard work and an exciting look at the talented tradespeople they’re becoming.

The Humber FAST ICT Capstone Project Expo was a showcase of talent, creativity and innovation, featuring more than 50 capstone projects from 200+ students in the Class of 2026.

Representing Artificial Intelligence, Computer Programming, Information Technology Systems and Computer Systems Technician, these projects gave students the opportunity to put their knowledge into action, tackle real-world challenges and demonstrate the skills they’ll take with them into their careers.

A special thank you to our industry partners for helping make these experiences possible and for investing in the next generation of technology professionals.

Congratulations to all of our students, and thank you to the faculty, staff, technologists and mentors who supported them throughout their capstone journey.

🌱 Building stronger communities. Designing a more sustainable future.

Our Capstone Showcase highlighted the exceptional work of graduating students from Humber Polytechnic’s Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, and Sustainability programs, demonstrating how innovation, sustainability, and collaboration are shaping the future of the built environment.

Representing work from three graduating Architectural Technology studio sections, 10 students were selected to exhibit projects that demonstrated innovation, technical excellence, sustainability, and meaningful community impact.

Their work highlighted creative approaches to shaping the future of the built environment through interdisciplinary collaboration and design-driven solutions.

While the showcase featured a selection of projects, it also reflected the dedication, talent, and hard work of the entire graduating class.

Congratulations to Tavish Legacy & Tete Soto on capturing GOLD in the Mechatronics competition at the Skills Canada National Competition!

This is the fourth year in a row that Team Humber has won gold in the Mechatronics category.

The Skills Canada competition showcases the value of hands-on learning, technical expertise, and real-world experience in shaping the future workforce. It also highlights the exciting opportunities available to those pursuing careers in the skilled trades.

Humber students have a proud tradition of excellence at Skills competitions, and Tavish & Tete’s success is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of their coaches.
