The land around the school was originally owned by the Pring family, hence the name Pringdale. The attendance catchment area includes the housing to the south of the school, the east side of Danforth Road to Eglinton Avenue, and west of McCowan Road. Junior and Senior Kindergarten classes are half day only during mornings or afternoons. The Children of Tomorrow Daycare, run by Tropicana, leases space in the school, and services children aged three to nine. Pringdale Gardens Junior Public School is surrounded by high rise and low rise apartments, and townhouses. We have historically been the hub of a culturally diverse, safe and caring community which it continues to be to this day. Pringdale Gardens is designated as a Model School for Inner City (MSIC) and as such, the school receives some additional staffing and funding to support and enrich the students' learning experiences.
