My Sevillanas journey has been... humbling.

I learned it in partners. Then switched schools, new method, and everything I knew fell apart. For years at flamenco parties? Faked it till I made it.

It wasn't until I started my own performance group that I had to actually fix it - and what I discovered changed how I teach it.

Learning Sevillanas solo first works better. You own the movement in your body before a partner enters the picture.

That's exactly how I'm teaching it this fall - online, 4 weeks, small group.

A little late but still celebrating International Dance Day! 🎉 Here's a spontaneous moment from the April 26th open mic performance - some impromptu footwork at the end of Dino's solo. Dance isn't about perfection, it's about feeling alive and those unexpected moments of connection.
