For over three decades, I have been dedicated to preserving and sharing Indigenous teachings, language, traditions, and cultural knowledge through authentic, experience-based education. My passion goes beyond teaching facts—it's more about creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect, listen, and gain a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives.

Every workshop is built on a foundation of respect, storytelling, and genuine dialogue, encouraging participants to engage with history, culture, and traditions in a way that is both personal and memorable. By fostering connections between Indigenous and non Indigenous communities, my work continues to inspire empathy, strengthen relationships, and support the ongoing journey toward Truth and Reconciliation.

Every story shared carries the wisdom of generations.

Every conversation opens the door to greater understanding.

Some lessons are remembered because they're taught.

The most meaningful ones are remembered because they're experienced.

Our Indigenous cultural experiences invite participants to engage with traditions, storytelling, language, music, and teachings in ways that encourage genuine participation rather than passive observation. Tyendinaga Powwow 2026

1988 was the first time was in attendance at this powwow and helped me to kickstart my cultural learning journey further. 1998 My brother and I perked in Tyendinaga all in mohawk language to help with their fundraising for their Language school. We were known as “ The Wahta Boyz”. 2000 my wife and I were venders at this powwow.She was 3 months pregnant with our son. 2026 our Daughter was a vender at this powwow and we came with her to support her. On Sunday afternoon, about an hour before the draw I bought 2 tickets for the motorcycle draw. When they brought the motorcycle into the dancing arena, I said to my wife and daugther “wouldn’t ’t that be awesome if I won that Motorcycle?” Then they called out my name just goes to show you that the Creator makes things happen, and works in mysterious ways.

More than a website, it’s an invitation to listen, learn and connect through Indigenous culture, stories, language, songs, teachings and hands-on experiences.
Led by Elder and educator Christopher Stock, A Journey Begins creates welcoming, interactive experiences that help bring Indigenous perspectives to life—and encourage deeper understanding, respect and meaningful connections.
