For much of my life, I have reflected on what kind of legacy I want to leave behind.
The answer continues to be the same: Connection.
Connection to culture.
Connection to history.
Connection to one another.
Through A Journey Begins, I've had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life who are eager to learn, listen, and engage in meaningful conversations about Indigenous experiences and traditions.
These interactions remind me that reconciliation is built through relationships—not grand gestures, but consistent efforts to learn and understand.
I'm grateful for every conversation, every question, and every opportunity to share this journey.

Did you know that some of the most impactful moments during my presentations happen when people simply pause and reflect?
Not because they've learned a new fact.
But because they've gained a new perspective.
Throughout my journey, I've come to believe that understanding begins when we move beyond assumptions and become genuinely curious about one another's experiences.
That's what I hope to create through A Journey Begins. . a welcoming space where learning feels personal, meaningful, and relevant.
When people leave with a deeper appreciation of Indigenous culture and history, I know we're moving in the right direction.

One of the greatest gifts I've received throughout my life has been the opportunity to learn from Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and members of my community.
Their teachings helped me understand that culture is not something we simply inherit—it's something we honour, share, and carry forward.
Today, I consider it a privilege to create experiences that introduce others to traditional Iroquoian culture and Indigenous perspectives.
Every group I meet brings unique questions, insights, and conversations. That's what makes this work so meaningful.
Learning is never a one-way exchange. We all leave with something valuable.
Thank you to everyone who has chosen to be part of this journey with me.

Reconciliation begins when learning turns into understanding.
For me, Truth and Reconciliation isn't a checkbox or a single conversation.
It's an ongoing commitment. It's about creating opportunities for people to learn about Indigenous cultures, histories, and experiences in a way that is engaging, respectful, and meaningful.
My own journey has shown me the importance of sharing knowledge, preserving traditions, and building bridges between communities.
Every time I facilitate an Indigenous Cultural Experience, I am reminded that learning has the power to bring people together.
The path toward reconciliation begins with understanding—and understanding begins with a willingness to learn.
I'm grateful to walk that path alongside so many curious, thoughtful, and engaged individuals.

People often ask me why I dedicate so much of my time to sharing Indigenous culture and history. The answer is simple. Because understanding creates connection.
Throughout my journey, I've come to appreciate how powerful it can be when people have the opportunity to learn directly from lived experiences, cultural teachings, and authentic stories.
Through A Journey Begins. ., my goal has never been to lecture or instruct. My goal is to create welcoming spaces where people feel comfortable asking questions, learning something new, and building a deeper appreciation for Indigenous perspectives.
If even one person leaves with a greater understanding than they had before, then the time spent was worthwhile.

Over the years, my life experiences have taught me many lessons, but one stands above the rest: the value of time.
Time spent learning. Time spent listening. Time spent connecting.
As I embraced my Indigenous ancestry more deeply, I realized that sharing our stories, traditions, and teachings wasn't just about preserving the past—it was about helping build a better future.
That's why I created A Journey Begins… Interactive Indigenous Cultural Experiences.
Every workshop, presentation, and conversation is an opportunity to foster understanding, encourage meaningful dialogue, and contribute to active Truth and Reconciliation.
I believe that when we take the time to learn from one another, we create stronger communities and lasting connections.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. Your willingness to learn, engage, and reflect continues to inspire me.
