In addition, SOMA has a commitment to financial accessibility.

The objectives of the Southern Ontario Model United Nations Assembly (SOMA) are the advancement of education with respect to international affairs and diplomacy, and the improvement of skills in debating and public speaking through participation in the Assembly. As a result, delegate fees are kept as low as possible, delegation fees are waived, and students are not required to stay in a hotel for the duration of the conference.
