Last week, as part of our Remembrance Day learning, RHA had the privilege of welcoming Acting Sub-Lieutenant Isabella Papalia of the Royal Canadian Navy. She shared stories from her training, time at sea, and the responsibilities of her role, giving students a meaningful look at leadership and service in the real world.
Her visit reinforced the values we are working to build in our students, including respect, responsibility, and a commitment to contributing to their community. Experiences like this help deepen their understanding of what it means to lead with character and purpose beyond the classroom.
We are truly grateful to Sub-Lieutenant Papalia for her time, her insight, and her service. 💙

This week RHA had the privilege of welcoming Sam Demma, a nationally recognized youth speaker who shared an inspiring message about kindness, empathy, and the power of small actions.
Sam reminded students that leadership begins with compassion by noticing others, showing care, and understanding the difference one person can make.
Thank you, Sam, for inspiring our students to lead with heart and make a difference every day. 💙🎒

We are looking for reliable, positive, dynamic individuals to fulfill After Care responsibilities during the 2024-2025 school year.
As a top progressive Jewish learning academy, Robbins Hebrew Academy equips students with the skills to think critically, the imagination to think beyond, and the discipline that builds character. It’s why our students go on to become society’s original thinkers and principled leaders.
Beyond our curriculum is a school culture and community that is incredibly close and supportive, an enriching learning environment, and a place that feels like home.
If RHA sounds like a school you would be interested in working for, join us in guiding the children of today through their journeys to tomorrow.
For more information and application submission, please reach out to Nava ([email protected]).

שבת שלום
Shabbat Shalom
Before we sign off for Shabbat, we’re still beaming with pride over the extraordinary Grade 6 Tanakh Ceremony! Kol Hakavod to the students for leading a flawless Shacharit Service on Rosh Chodesh complete with Torah reading and music. They were presented with their first Tanakh courtesy of the Parents’ Association, and parents had the opportunity to write a personal message in their child(ren)’s new book. T’fillah was followed by a meaningful Limmud Be Chavruta (Learning with Friends) with loved ones.

Thank you to the Toronto Police Service for everything they do to protect us and keep us safe! We hosted a special lunch to show our gratitude and appreciation for everything they do for our community.
A group of students, including those from Israel, were excited to meet a brave and strong Toronto Police Officer who immigrated to Canada from Israel when he was just 6 years old! It was a thrill for them to chat with the officer in Hebrew! Representation matters.

A snowy and rainy day calls for a real-world lesson in “how does that happen?”
Nursery students asked, so teachers guided an interactive science experiment demonstrating how clouds form and release rain and snow. We had so much fun watching those mesmerizing clouds in action!
