What does it mean to be an active citizen? đď¸đşď¸
Our History, Geography, and Civics students set out to find the answer during their visit to the City of Toronto Archives. From exploring how municipal government shapes our daily lives to debating issues affecting our community, students gained a deeper understanding of civic engagement in action.
They also stepped back in time, uncovering the history of their neighbourhood and school through original maps, photographs, and archival records. It was a day of civic engagement, local history, and connecting the past to the present.

Our visual art students visited the Gardiner Museum for an immersive ceramics experience. Students explored âIn Search of Imperfection: The Macdonald Collection of Japanese and Japanese-Inspired Ceramicsâ through a guided tour, then created their own clay sculptures in the Sculpted Identities workshop, led by a museum educator. It was a wonderful opportunity to uncover the stories told by ceramic works and peel back the layers of personal, cultural, and political identity embedded in them.

What happens when students from Istanbul and Toronto come together for two weeks of travel, city adventures, volunteering, art, and a little too much poutine? A pretty unforgettable experience. Over the past two weeks, our students at Keystone School had the opportunity to learn and grow alongside visiting students from Keystone International Schools in Istanbul. From classroom moments and university visits to exploring Toronto and Quebec together, this exchange was a celebration of culture, connection, and community. Weâre proud to see all the friendships formed that will last far beyond these two weeks đ¨đŚđšđˇ
