Although school strikes can be frustrating for parents it's time to remember that fair pay for the people who support your children will hopefully bring better care and service to the students.

I have some availability next week if anyone is in a pinch for child care in the event of a strike.

Monday Oct 7th 8am-12pm
Tuesday Oct 8th 8am-5pm
Friday Oct 11th 8am-1:30pm

If you are in the St Clair West area I can arrange for earlier start times if needed.

School boards across Toronto and its suburbs say they will close their schools on Monday if a proposed strike by CUPE education workers goes ahead because of concerns over student safety.

Bringing labour day to a new meaning! We rescued a cat and we were unsure if she was pregnant. Our prediction was confirmed yesterday on labour day!
Happy back to school day for those heading back, I'll be here doing my post- partum-doula-ing for my cat and her two new babies!

Friday frittata!
Frittatas are a great way to pack in loads of veggies and clean out the fridge! Try this one for your weekend brunch!
6 eggs
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tbs milk of choice
Half onion
2 cloves garlic
Veggies of your choice
S&P to taste

Sauté onions and garlic with cooking oil. Once fragrant, add uncooked veg. I used Kale but you can use broccoli, peppers, etc. (if you want spinach add to eggs not sauté)

In a large bowl beat eggs with 1/4 tsp baking powder and milk. Add sauteed content to eggs, place back in oven safe pan, allow to cook on stove top for 5 mins on med, place in over at 375F for 5-10 mins.
Cut up and enjoy!
