In Preschool 1, the children discovered the fascinating world of bugs! From spiders to ladybugs, and caterpillars, the children were full of curiosity as they observed tiny legs, colourful bodies, and unique patterns. One of the highlights was learning about the life cycle of a caterpillar. The children were amazed to see how a caterpillar grows, forms a chrysalis, and transforms into a beautiful butterfly- such a magical change. To bring their learning to life, the preschoolers used their imaginations and became bugs themselves- crawling, flying, and wiggling all around the room with creative movements and "colourful wings." It was a joyful day full of exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning in our tiny bug world πππ·π

In Preschool 1, the children have been learning all about habitats! Based on their interests, they chose to create their own habitats. As part of this take- home family involvement, each child created a habitat of their choice and shared their learning with the families. This was a wonderful opportunity to strength our classroom community and foster a sense of belonging for everyone. From forests to oceans, the children explored how every family needs food, water, and a safe place to live πΎπ³ππ

A few weeks ago, the children in Preschool 2 began their lemon seed experiment, carefully planting and waiting with so much patience. Day after day, they checked for any sign of life, and today, their perseverance paid off! Out of all the seeds, one little sprout decided to make it's debut. This moment is a beautiful reminder that growth takes time, care, and a whole lot of patience. We're so proud of their curiosity, dedication, and excitement for learning. A wild week in the Jungle ππππΏ
Preschool 1 read the story "The Great Kapok Tree: A tale of the Amazon Rainforest." Throughout the week, our explorers searched the jungle in hopes of finding animals. The mission was simple: move slowly, stay quiet, and keep the binoculars ready. Deep in the dramatic jungle, our explorers crept quietly with their binoculars, eyes searching the water for a crocodile sighting. Somewhere in the trees, monkeys were hiding and we are determined to find them. In the tuff tray, the children recreated homes for the animals using logs, vines, and branches. The children used their imagination while learning about different animals, building language skills, and engaging in sensory. Jungle week became even more exciting as we used the globe to explore where animals come from.
