This September 15, Mexican Day Toronto organizes an online event to celebrate Mexico's Independence Day. You can not miss it!!!! There will be music, different cultural themes and a lot of fun.

Seguramente muchos de nosotros, cuando éramos muy muy muuuy pequeños ;) vimos la película 📽 La Sirenita y conocemos la canción 🎼 🎷 «Bajo del mar» que ganó un premio 🏅 Oscar en 1990 por Mejor Canción Original. Recientemente Samuel E. Write, el actor que le prestó su voz a Sebastián, murió el 25 de mayo a los 74 años de edad. Lamentamos esta pérdida pero a manera de un pequeño homenaje aquí les compartimos la versión en español (con letra incluida) de esta canción tan alegre y melódica en la voz de Michael Cruz. Surely many of us, when we were very very veeery young ;) saw the movie The Little Mermaid and know the song "Under the sea" (winner of an Oscar in 1990 for Best Original Song). Samuel E. Write, the actor who gave voice to Sebastian, recently died on May 25 at the age of 74. We regret this loss and as a small tribute to Samuel here we share the Spanish version (lyrics included) of this very meolodic song performed by Michael Cruz. We hope you like it.

Spanish Language Day seeks to increase awareness about the history, culture, and achievements of the Spanish language. Spanish is a Romance language, and it is the second most spoken language in the world. This day makes up one of six UN language days. The aim is to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity.

Spanish Language Day was established in 2010 by the United Nations to promote the organizations six official languages. It is observed annually on April 23rd, a date coinciding with the death of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Cervantes is considered the greatest Spanish writer and is celebrated as a genius of Spanish letters. His most notable work is Don Quixote.



El Día del Idioma Español busca aumentar la conciencia sobre la historia, la cultura y los logros del idioma español. El español es una lengua romance y es la segunda lengua más hablada del mundo. Este día constituye uno de los seis días de idiomas de la ONU. El objetivo es celebrar el multilingüismo y la diversidad cultural explorando estos idiomas.

El Día del Idioma Español fue establecido en 2010 por las Naciones Unidas para promover los seis idiomas oficiales de la organización. Se observa anualmente el 23 de abril, fecha que coincide con la muerte de Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Cervantes es considerado uno de los más grandes escritores españoles y es célebre como un genio de las letras españolas. Su obra más notable es Don Quijote.
