Minibeast = small animal/creature.
The scientific term for them is 'invertebrates' i.e a creature without a backbone. They tend to have other structures to support and protect them because they don't have a backbone.
Eg. of minibeasts: Spiders, snails,, butterflies, moths, beetles, centipedes, worms, ants, caterpillars, etc.
I wanted to focus a whole month on bugs and was inspired by to make our own minibeast habitat tray. I thought it would be a great way to kick off our month of learning about bugs/insects.

Plants release oxygen into the atmosphere, absorb carbon dioxide, provide food, and they regulate the water cycle.
