The word Inspiration means “to breath in.” When we Breath in or Take in, we are receptive and in the body. Add Listening, and our minds and bodies are full, and we are ready to “Act.” We will feel the impulse to act. We are inspired to act. With only the Mind involved, there is only your WILL pushing you to ACT. This is not inspired acting. Inspired acting involves the body by simply breathing in as you listen.

Cindy Tanas is a truly gifted acting coach who I've had the pleasure and benefit of working with. She is masterful at working with each actor in a way that addresses where they are at as individuals, both as human beings and as actors, and what lessons are most crucial at every given moment - all the while taking the entire group through carefully planned rudimentary and ground-breaking acting techniques and experiences.

She helps to create actors that are thoughtful and conscious of their choices in every aspect of their craft; that is full of empathy for and understanding of the complexities of the human spirit; that live and breathe and take action in their daily acting work. Cindy practices what she teaches; she is a shining example of both that creative and artistic side, as well as the linear and practical side to this craft.
