When Alina and I met, it was clear she had something profound on her hands-- from the material to the cast & crew she had selected, magic was in the air. Entering late into the storytelling vortex with this team as an EP & Assistant director was the highlight of that balmy fall of 2021, and I am so excited to finally share Alina's vision with you.

In HARD FALLS, three best friends navigate the complexities of their lives, facing hardships at home as they part ways for the evening. Anchored in themes of immigration, family dynamics, girlhood and mental health. It’s an exploration of the nuanced loneliness we often feel as we grow up.

TIFF 2021: another year, another festival. It dawned on me that I’ve been attending the festival on that “industry” badge for 10 years. Holy crackers. Every year I realize how much more there is to learn, to grow, to dream of.

The power of moving images to connect us and reflect our humanity is really the coolest gift- isn't it?

If you've been wondering how to get your project off the ground it takes a bit of hard skills- budgeting, schedules, business plans etc BUT the thing no one tells you is that it also takes a bit of believing in yourself, your skill sets and digging deep into a little of your own driving philosophies and values. This is the secret sauce to it all.

I've been toying with running another Fearless Filmmaking workshop. I've been told it's overwhelming to pack in all this info into 2 days so maybe a 10 min lesson everyday for a week? 5 days of Fearless Filmmaking? It's free. If enough people want it I'll finally make it a course (which I've been procrastinating on really bc ) and that course will stay free, cause resources are hard to come by.
