Our very special student Anastasia Rizikov will be playing a benefit concert on April 3, 2022, at 6PM in Toronto! We are so proud of you, Anastasia!

On April 3, 2022, at 6PM, in my hometown of Toronto, Canada, I will be giving a recital of works by Ukrainian composers Kos-Anatolsky, Kosenko, Lysenko, and Shamo, in support of the victims of war in Ukraine. All of the proceeds of this event will go towards humanitarian aid, to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation

This will be the second concert presented by the Pysanka Foundation, an organization I am proud to have started with some close friends, whose goal is to introduce Ukrainian music, culture, and history to audiences worldwide as well as to raise money for the crisis in Ukraine. This Foundation is currently working on organizing multiple benefit concerts featuring an all-Ukrainian program worldwide.

I hope to see all of you there! This is an event that is very dear to my heart 💙💛🇺🇦

2015 is rightfully called Scriabin’s Year. 100 years ago, the life of one of the most innovative and controversial composers Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin tragically ended. Scriabin’s life and legacy are being lauded by music’s halls of fame and prestige in this year and I am proud to be a part of it.
