Just wanted to share the lovely thoughtful gift that a friend gave me for my 30th birthday yesterday ❤

I love both giving and receiving gifts! My favourite are gifts that show the gift-giver was putting thought and care into the gift. My friend spent time finding this clover, pressing it, and putting it into a nice card for me. To me, that's worth more than any expensive gift! 🍀

I absolutely cannot stand to feel sand on my feet! Whenever I hear people say they love "to feel sand between their toes" I internally cringe because of how much I dislike the feeling myself.

My self care often involves going near water so I love spending time at the beach which seems counter intuitive given my aversion to sand. I used to avoid going to the beach because I was embarrassed about how I would react when I would be faced with having to touch the sand. Well, as you can see in this picture, I found my solution! When I go to the beach, I wear shoes and long pants. Is this typical beachwear? No. Do I get strange looks sometimes? Yes. Do I care? Not at all!

Do what feels right for you even if it looks weird to others!

Grounding is a super important tool for when we're feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions. But how do you ground when everything feels out of control? I like to mindfully use grounding objects, like these rocks, whenever I'm experiencing overwhelming emotions!
