Tonight will be the ONLY time TDSB staff will be presenting the budget and it’s happening at an in-person only meeting (inside TDSB HQ directly following the rally, the public is invited!) because Doug Ford’s Minister of Education banned live-streaming and recording of all public meetings.

Parents, students and education workers will be gathering beforehand for a family friendly rally opposing school cuts!

I encourage you to show up if you’re able! Call Doug Ford’s office and demand this his government fully fund education and reverse the cuts at the TDSB. Under Ford’s government underfunding of k-12 education has been underfunded by $6.4 billion. The money is there, the choice to not invest in education is directly on Ford.

It’s so so important that they know we’re paying attention and that we actively care about what they’re doing, and we’re demanding better

Welcome to Pride Month! I hope we all have a chance to celebrate joy in our communities. Pride is a Protest. Fighting for supported education really is life or death stakes for vulnerable youth.

"A 2019 study from The Trevor Project found that LGBTQ+ youth who reported having at least one accepting adult in their lives were about 40% less likely to report a su***de attempt in the previous year compared with those who did not have an accepting adult."

The importance of having safe and caring adults in schools is not abstract. It is life-saving, and this government's cuts continues harm students materially.

If you're so moved, make your ford calls pride themed this week! 416-325-1941
