Today is world Astronomy Day! Did you know York university has the largest telescope on any university campus in Canada? It is located in the Allan I. Carswell Observatory, and students in the physics and astronomy program have access to the observatory facilities starting from their first year! Visit the observatory website to see how and when you can visit them and see stars, planets, nebula, and more.

Happy ! Meet Oluwatimileyin, a 3rd Year Biomedical Science student.
Oluwatimileyin’s favourite courses are Biology, chemistry, and psychology.
Oluwatimileyin chose York Science because “York’s Biomedical Science program provides outstanding, hands-on laboratory and research experiences, and opportunities to network. Biomedical Science is diverse, I am able to take diverse courses like Biochemistry, Chemistry, Psychology, Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology, and make impactful networks and friends to aid my future career as a medical doctor.”

Today is Pi Day! On Pi Day we celebrate Mathematics and at we have an amazing Mathematics & Statistics department. According to SciVal 2020-2021, in COVID-19 and mathematical modeling publications, York University researchers rank first, second, and third in Canada for their innovative work.

Aria chose York Science because “York was and continues to be one of the most well-established faculties in Canada and it has complimented my passion for the sciences, which began in high school.”
