Welcome to The Reptiles of Lustria! We are dedicated to the care and conservation of herps and aquatics, with some isopods thrown in.

Updated photos of Vilitch and Valaya, our two adult phants. The stick impressions aren’t quite going as well as they think they are 😂 Cool to see that they’re technically both in the same pose!

I didn’t realize at first the level of detail that I caught with the photos I got of the new female phant. Look at the delicate scalation on the chest and those TOES. 💚💚💚 Truly incredible!

Little masked bandit over here. Uroplatus phantasticus hatchling was discovered today! The clutch that they came from was laid in July, so about a two month incubation. Happy day!

Well, August 31st’s Black-Eared Mantella shenanigans were a success, but for all of the male’s hard work, he….didn’t finish the job??? You disappoint me, son.

Well, at least the female isn’t carrying those eggs around any more. Anyone have any male black-ears that they are willing to part with?

Now that the Valaya and Vilitch’s hatchlings have found new homes, we are now going into super upgrade mode with the new space afforded to us. Valaya and Vilitch and the Ranitomeya reticulata will be getting crazy new digs in the coming days. I sure wish that I had made use of that plant sale at .ca !

The three F1 hatchlings from Valaya and Vilitch are growing well. 💚 And evidently the smallest hatchling may actually be female! It seems their tail has un-crinkled!

Girlie was just waiting for that snack, sitting on her little perch above the food dish! Valaya the Satanic Leaf-tailed gecko (Uroplatus phantasticus). You know I just realized that both of our imported Satanics are now happily tong fed, where they were initially leery of it.

The tiniest and youngest of our hatchlings from this year. Hatched only on March 8, they are only little over a month old! Their clutch mate sadly passed away due to a malformation in their spine. Only four hatchlings now, but they are all growing and eating well!! Uroplatus phantasticus

Well, it’s an amazing day - our first ever Uroplatus phantasticus baby has hatched! I am utterly delighted and so so nervous! They are truly, truly exquisite! I was not expecting those sorts of markings! 🦎💜
