If you’re curious about international relations, ocean policy or just looking for friendly support navigating university life, Robyn Ahn is the Academic Don you’ll want to know. A Master of Global Affairs student at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, Robyn offers Trinity College students guidance on coursework, career development, and the broader experience of student residence life.

This summer, Robyn brought her expertise into the real world through a co-op placement with Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Ottawa. Working with the International Oceans Policy team, she dived into the complexities of global ocean governance. Her work supported Canada’s contributions to the Our Oceans Conference, a major international forum on ocean conservation and sustainability. She also attended the Canada-ASEAN Security Symposium, where she gained insights into maritime security, supply chain resilience, and the strategic importance of the Indo-Pacific region.

“It was a great opportunity to learn how ocean policy intersects with international affairs and economic priorities,” Robyn said. That cross-disciplinary perspective—connecting policy, economics, and diplomacy—is exactly what she brings to her role supporting Trinity students.

Beyond the policy briefs and international conferences, Robyn has been exploring Ottawa as a new city, building community, and finding her favorite bingsu spot. But as the summer winds down, she’s eagerly looking forward to returning to Toronto for the fall. She’s particularly excited about residing in Trinity’s new Lawson Centre for Sustainability—a fitting home for someone whose work bridges international policy and environmental stewardship.

Friends you haven’t met yet are waiting for you at Trinity College!

We are so excited for roommate pairings to be released for the upcoming year. While it is normal to feel butterflies about being assigned to live with someone you haven’t met yet, we hope you’ll find comfort in quotes from students who told us how their roommate made their first year better:

“I was so worried about having a roommate but she made it so easy. Thanks for being such a great roommate.”

“She has been my roommate since first year, and after almost three years of living together, I can confidently say she is now one of my best friends. Thank you Trin for putting us together!”

Aidan Mitchell-Boudreau is an Academic Don at Trinity College and third-year law student. This summer, Aidan is a Summer Law Student in the Banking and Finance group in the Toronto office of the full-service business law firm Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. In this group, she’s doing a mixture of lending, derivatives, securitization, and project finance legal work. Come fall 2026, Aidan looks forward to helping our students learn more about careers in law, business, and finance.

As an Academic Don, Aidan lives in residence alongside Trinity students, offering mentorship and a steady presence through all the highs and lows of university life — from homesickness and academic stress to finding their footing in a new city.

This past year, she supported students through hundreds of touch points: one-on-one check-ins, a legal profession themed Academic Dinner connecting students with professionals and academics in the field, and a co-facilitated Trinity College Talent Show alongside the Trinity College Meeting (TCM) and Arts and Culture Living Learning Community.

We are so proud of Aidan and look forward to welcoming her back to residence in the fall.
