How do babies make sense of family relationships?
Researchers at the Toronto Early Cognition Lab are looking for babies aged 12β23 months to participate in a 15β20 minute online study.
Your child will watch simple animated videos featuring babies and caregivers interacting with one another. These activities help us learn more about how young children understand relationships between family members.

The Toronto Early Cognition Lab is inviting families with babies 10β13.99 months old to take part in a two-part online study exploring how babies respond to fairness and helping behaviour.
πΆ During the sessions, your baby will watch short, baby-friendly videos featuring helpful and unhelpful puppets, as well as people sharing cookies fairly or unfairly.
π» The study takes place online over Zoom and includes two short sessions, each lasting about 10β15 minutes.
π Families receive a $5 Amazon gift card per session, and babies earn a University of Toronto participation certificate.

The Toronto Early Cognition Lab is inviting children to take part in an online study exploring how kids think about persistence and challenges.
π§© During the session, children will hear short stories about characters solving tricky puzzles and share their thoughts and opinions about what happens.
π» The study takes place over Zoom and includes a short online questionnaire for parents before the session. The appointment takes approximately 20β30 minutes.

π How do kids decide who to trust?
The Toronto Early Cognition Lab is inviting 4 and 5 year olds to join a fun online study about how children decide who to trust.
πΎ Kids will look at pictures of animals and objects, some easy to recognize, some a little tricky, and answer questions about them!
π§ Through simple questions and interactive activities, children help us learn more about how trust and decision-making develop.
π» The study takes 30 minutes, and takes place online, so families can participate easily from home.
