I say this with so much love, because I’ve been there too. So many of you are the calendar, the front desk, the whitening chair, and the marketing team all at once. That’s not a business, that’s a job you built for yourself with extra steps.

A real business can survive you taking a Tuesday off to rest. If yours can’t yet, that’s okay. That’s just your next project, and I believe you can build it!

I’ve been doing this little exercise before every big leap I take in business, and it still gets me every time.

You’d think five months out feels far. It doesn’t. Your mind starts filling in the gap almost immediately, little decisions, small moments of confidence, showing up like the outcome is already yours.

I did this before my first launch. I did it before Fern. I’m doing it again right now.

It’s not magic. It’s just what happens when you stop waiting to feel ready and start acting like the thing already worked out.

So go ahead, pick your day. Then watch yourself become the person who gets there.

Does going higher on gel percentage actually get you better whitening results?

NOT NECESSARILY.

Gel percentage is only part of the equation. What actually drives your results is oxidation, and that depends on the quality of the gel itself, not just the number on the label.

Here’s where quality actually shows up:
✨ How fast and evenly the gel oxidizes
💡 Whether your light source is a true accelerator or just heat-based
🦷 How consistent your shade results are session to session
⚠️ How much sensitivity your clients experience afterward

A well-made 25% gel can outperform a cheap 35% one, every single time.

This is the part that gets skipped in a lot of quick trainings, and it’s exactly why two providers can use “the same” percentage and get completely different results.

Most people who quit a teeth whitening business don’t quit because the industry didn’t work, they quit because they never learned it properly in the first place.

Skipping training feels like it saves money upfront, but it usually shows up later as wasted product, inconsistent results, and clients who don’t rebook. Proper training isn’t just about technique either, it’s pricing, protocol, and knowing what to do when something doesn’t go as planned.
