Last week, we hosted our annual Parent Coffee at La Petite École. 💚

After drop-off, parents and caregivers, including grandparents, were invited to stay for a coffee, connect with one another, and spend a little time with our educators.

It was such a lovely way to slow down, build community, and create space for the relationships that make LPE feel so special.

A special thank you to .house for sponsoring the coffee and helping make the morning even more welcoming. ✨

Bonjour 💚 Welcome to our French word of the day.

Comme ci, comme ça

It roughly means so-so.

It’s a phrase we use in the classroom when talking about feelings. Some days feel good, some days feel a little harder, and that’s okay. At La Petite École, we encourage children to express how they’re feeling and remind them that all emotions are welcome.

Choosing a preschool is a big decision. 🏫

It’s not just about the program, it’s about how your child will feel each day, and the people who will care for them.

We’re so grateful to the families who trust us with their children and take the time to share their experiences.

From building confidence and friendships, to creating a space where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn, these are the moments that matter most.

Hearing how children grow here, and how families feel supported along the way, means everything to us.

Thank you to our LPE families for being such an important part of our community. đź’š

Today, we’re celebrating the families who make La Petite École the community it is. 💚

Early childhood education is never just about the classroom. It’s about the relationships, trust, and connection that grow between children, educators, and the families who are part of it all.

At La Petite École, families are such an important part of our everyday life. From shared milestones to school events to the simple moments of drop-off and pick-up, that sense of closeness and partnership is at the heart of what makes our community so special.

We’re so grateful for every family who has trusted us to be part of their child’s early years.

Bonjour đź’š Welcome to our French word of the day.

Un câlin

It means a hug.

A simple word that brings so much comfort. At La Petite École, children learn that a hug can be a way to show care, connection, and affection for the people around them. Whether it’s at drop-off, during the day, or when someone needs a little extra comfort, un câlin is one of those small but meaningful moments.

Try it at home today.

“Je te fais un câlin.” ✨

Starting preschool is a big step, for both children and parents.

There are new routines, new environments, and often a lot of emotions that come with it.

That’s why we take a gentle, gradual approach to the transition.

By easing children into their new day over time, we help them feel safe, comfortable, and ready to settle in at their own pace.

In the first few weeks, it’s completely normal to see changes at home too.

More emotions, more tiredness, and moments where they need a little extra reassurance.

You’re not doing anything wrong. It’s all part of the process.

We work closely with families every step of the way, adjusting as needed to support each child and make the transition feel as smooth as possible.

If your child is starting soon, or you have questions about the process, feel free to reach out.

Here’s a little close-up look at some of the artwork from our little artists. 🚀✨

From our recent space theme, the children explored the moon, stars, planets, and more through creativity and hands-on activities.

At La Petite École, we love exploring new themes in ways that feel fun, engaging, and meaningful for this age. Through art and creative projects, children are able to express what they’re learning and make it their own. 💚
