Check out Startup Canada’s 2018 Canadian Entrepreneurship Census Report to gain a better understanding of the entrepreneurship community.

250,000 entrepreneurs and enterprise influencers partook in this survey to help create a fully comprehensive census. The report includes fundamental information about the entrepreneurship ecosystem, including key statistics. For example, 51% of Canadian entrepreneurs are women - up 6% from 2017. The census also emphasizes the needs of entrepreneurs, with the primary issue being funding for 75% of participants. Understanding entrepreneurs and their support systems are key in creating a sustainable environment for SME’s to expand.

Our friends at the Italian Trade Agency (Toronto) are pleased to announce they will be a partner at the World Manufacturing Forum to be held this year in Cernobbio in the Lake Como district of Italy from 25 through 27 September. The World Manufacturing Forum ( www.worldmanufacturingforum.org/ ) promotes innovation and development in the manufacturing sector, with the fundamental goal of improving competitiveness in all nations through dialogue and cooperation among the manufacturing sector’s key players.

In 2018, over 800 different participants from 40 different countries met to share the latest intelligence on the technological and economic forces shaping modern manufacturing and to network with the key players in the field. Canadian manufacturers and investors interested in partnering with or investing in Italian manufacturing should be especially interested in this event.
