The 2023 Global Innovation Design Workshop culminated on November 1st 2023 when student participants from the University of Nairobi were awarded their certificates. We partnered with the Engineering World Health Organization to develop the program which taught participants about the design of biomedical equipment for low-resource regions.
Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Mbuya (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering) for presenting the certificates and Professor George Rading for organizing the ceremony as well as supporting the program. Mungu atukuzwe!

Students from the University of Nairobi and the University of California, Berkeley will be challenged to come up with a solution to a need faced by hospitals in low-resource settings under the guidance of trained Engineering World Health facilitators. Over the course of the program, they will cover concepts for biomedical design, collaboration, ethics, and entrepreneurship as these topics relate to engineering for low-resource environments. Join us in raising funds for 10 more students to participate!
