Orientation has always been THE time to make new friends, and to learn more about UofT. I've done orientation 3 times now, and every time it has been my "best one yet" just like the upcoming one! That's what i love about New College, it's a family that's always growing and it's with you from day one. Im excited to get to know new people and to bring them into our family.

I’m most excited about the UofT orientation week parade. It’s there that you get a sense of the immense scale and awesome spirit of the incoming class. We’re a group set out to learn, improve, and make great contributions to the world.

Since my first year at UofT, I have been hanging out at Wilson Lounge almost everyday and this made New College like my 2nd home, since i could come here and study or even sleep when ever i wanted and i can always find a comfortable space.

The reason i do Orientation in the first place is to meet the first years coming in, and that hasn't changed even though i'm an exec this year. I am most excited to meet you guys and help you whenever you might need it or just be someone to talk to as a friend!

What I love most about Orientation is that it's such a fun, spirited, exciting way to mark the start of one's university career. It's a celebration of entering a new phase in life, and it's just a happy week for you and your peers to share your common achievement of enrolling into the University of Toronto. I love Orientation because it's the start of new beginnings! It's also an amazing time to watch peers helping peers - upper year students guiding incoming NewCs into all aspects of University life. First days in a new environment can feel daunting for anyone, but Orientation makes that transition so much easier, and certainly way more fun.
I'm most excited for the awesome keynote speaker; yoga in the quad; and the ROM event!
