GROW NATIVE!! Shown here are photos of the leaf and seed “keys” of the non-native Norway Maple. They can be confused with those of the native red and silver maples so look carefully before you collect seeds to grow your seedlings. Norway Maple keys have a mich wider spread, the leaves and the bark of Norway Maples are also distinct while the stems produce a milky sap when broken. See our website for more information: seedstosaplings.ca. Grow native!
