Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A day where we reflect on the tragic history and ongoing legacy of Residential Schools. In doing so, we honour both the lives of the innocent children who were lost as well as the healing journey of survivors and their families. Let us deepen our understanding of the trauma and inequality faced by our Indigenous communities. Dolly🐶 joined our tutoring session to learn some fun math tricks🧮. Research has shown that petting an animal, such as a dog can reduce your stress hormones, producing a calming effect when you're stressed or anxious. Often one of the many reasons why therapy dogs are brought into classrooms 🍎

I am extremely thankful for all the support I’ve received over these past years from my clients and their families. The transition to online learning during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic was not easy, but it for sure did not stop my students from learning and growing as individuals.
