Why is this child allowed to be in a school?
Why do some students bite, hit, kick, refuse direction, or tantrum?
Why do the adults need to change what we do to support a student?

“Teamwork makes the dreamwork.” “Together everyone achieves more.” 🤦🏻♀️
The teamwork cliches are exceedingly catchy but incredibly toxic.
As leaders when we utilize toxic positivity about teamwork, we undermine individuals by making them feel unsuccessful, unworthy, and incompetent when teamwork isn’t the “dream” they were told about. 🌈
In fact, entire teams can if they feel the team isn’t “clicking” from the outset. This can cause hard feelings about who does the most work, who always gets their way, and unproductive disagreement.
Keeping it teamwork real with your team(s), allows you as a leader to provide guidance, teach appreciation of differences, and take your teams to the next level.
What advice have you given teams that helped the team synergize, or what advice have you gotten as a teammate that made all of the difference in team performance? Share ⬇️

Leadership Reboot! We all need to make leadership adjustments sometimes.
Sometimes we reboot when we begin a new initiative, receive leadership feedback, or just feel in a rut.
The best place to start is journaling to get back to, hone, or refocus your why.
Even journaling just a sentence or two at a time can help in your reboot journey. Try a sentence a day for a few weeks, or a sentence a week for several months.
What do you do when you need to reboot? Journaling? Great conversations? Something else?
Share 1 idea below to reboot and get back to your why?

Just like our students need to start each week fresh, so do teachers, support staff, and....leaders!
Whether the previous week was tough or you just feel stuck in a rut, Mondays are a good time to reboot and put your why in the forefront.
Why do you do what you do?
What wakes you up each work day morning read to tackle the day?
What’s your why? Be a part of the discussion in the comments.
