We just finished the ABTA Convention (American Bridge Teachers' Association) here in Toronto. 58 bridge teachers attended. We all did a boat tour on Lake Ontario and then had a fabulous luncheon at Scaddabush on Front St. The next evening, we dined at La Fenice on King St (FIRST CLASS service and food) near Blue Jay Way on south side of King W. Next was Princess of Wales Theatre to see Wicked. The convention was the best ever with superb speakers. We are all invigorated. The icing on the cake was that my latest book won Book of The Year Award. "Bridge: The Magic of Defense." And now the National Bridge Tournament (NABC) is now on for 10 days in Toronto so we will play twice a day for 10 days. There are heaps of events for players of all levels, especially for novices and intermediates. Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Front St.
