⚠️ Scam Alert: Be Careful When Booking Your TCF Canada Test

We want to make candidates aware of a scam that has affected several individuals recently.

GB Language Centre has encountered cases where candidates arrived on test day believing they had a confirmed TCF Canada booking. Unfortunately, when we checked our system, no registration existed.

In these cases, the candidates had paid individuals advertising on TikTok and other social media platforms who claimed they could “secure a seat” for the exam. They were provided with edited booking confirmations and payment receipts that appeared legitimate but were fraudulent.

To help protect yourself:

* Book your exam only through the official website of the test centre.
* Never send money to individuals claiming they can reserve a seat on your behalf.
* If you receive a booking confirmation that you are unsure about, contact the test centre directly before your test date to verify your registration.

We understand how stressful it can be to find an available test date, and unfortunately scammers take advantage of that urgency. Our goal is simply to ensure candidates don’t lose their money or arrive on exam day only to discover they were never registered.

If you believe you may have been affected by this type of scam, please contact the test centre as soon as possible.

Background noise shouldn’t cost you your score.
At GB Language Centre, you can keep your noise-canceling headset on for the listening, reading, and writing modules.

Adjust the volume right on the headset to block out room distractions and focus on your exam.

If you are scrolling through testing strategy threads, you will see a lot of conflicting information about navigating the multiple-choice interface.

During your reading comprehension module, you are absolutely not forced to answer questions in a strict linear line. If you hit a complex text layout that is draining your energy, the system allows you to skip it, secure your easy points, and use the bottom navigation index to jump right back before the clock runs out.

Understanding the software parameters removes the unknown on test day. Secure your official evaluation date at gblc.ca today.

The biggest reason candidates fail to reach their target Canadian Language Benchmark levels isn't their language fluency—it's their lack of strategy under real exam conditions.

Avoid overloading your mind at the last minute. Use the days before your official TCF exam to review your key vocabulary calmly, practice relaxed listening, and ensure you get proper sleep.

Build your confidence and get used to the exact pace of test day. Book your official date at gblc.ca.
