Truth isn’t always easy or light. But there’s something about authenticity that will strike a chord with your inner knowing. It simply…is. Your body, mind and heart will feel it, no questions needed.

I have always loved to mix things up. From eating a different kind of cereal each morning, to teaching very different yoga sequences from class to class (yeah, I do that too).

Have things started feeling monotonous in your life? For the love of Shreddies…TRY SOMETHING NEW!

I challenge you to make as many changes this week as you can. Tiny changes (like having a bowl of yogurt with granola instead of cereal, driving or walking a different route to work, wearing a different colour shirt than you’re used to etc) can help to pave the way for other gradually bigger changes.

Remember, it’s not about having to change things permanently (unless you want to), it’s about TRYING new things or doing similar things DIFFERENTLY. Think of it as a unlocking new pathways in your brain. Some of them may feel weird and uncomfortable. But some may bring out a whole new perspective or opportunity that you’d never considered before!

I would share what I would do, except I’m ALREADY DOING IT! (Hint, check out my other page Sparkle Your Vintage)

My coaching journey has made me so much more open to trying things that feel scary (aa well as the possibility of “failure”) because I’m trusting that if I follow what I’m passionate about, things will work out somehow.

Sometimes I get flashes of fear and uncertainty, but they’re quickly replaced by the thought “Well how will I know unless I TRY?!?!” And you know what? So far things are going pretty good.

I didn’t get here overnight, and without the coaching skills I’m so grateful to have learned, I may never have gotten here at all.

What would YOU try if you knew it would for sure work out?

Link below will tell you more about my work and how to schedule your free intro session. 💖 I’d love to share the tools that helped me!

I started paying attention to politics around the time Trump became president. Never before had I been much interested but man, this was just too much. Note, I am Canadian. However, I simply can’t ignore what our neighbours are dealing with.

Anyway, my point here is that I think it’s important to speak up for what you believe in in ALL aspects of your life.

You can start small, like not letting someone get away with a joke you find offensive. As you become more confident in your ability to speak out against injustices (personal as well as global ones) a cool thing happens. You become way more knowledgeable about what you choose to believe, and why. Remember that no matter what you believe, it is your responsibility to keep reassessing if it aligns with your ethics and gut feeling of rightness. Sometimes our beliefs change, and that’s ok.

I for one, can no longer sit back and stay silent about issues that I feel to the core of my being need a voice.

Can you think of a specific issue, either personal or global that just makes you want to scream at the injustice? Start there and begin to learn more about it, and what you could do to be part of changing it.

Shoutout to Linsey Fagan for Texas who has been a major inspiration to me by doing just that. She created this sweatshirt and lots of other great merch to help fund her campaign. Check it out! 🐈

Look at you doing such a great job holding up half the sky! Oh….are your arms getting tired? Right. Let’s see if you can take a wee break without it falling down.

Hey! It didn’t fall! It looks a bit wobbly, but that’s ok. The other sky-holders can manage for awhile. Let’s get those achey arms a nice bath. Maybe a soothing massage.

Feel better? I bet you can do BICEP CURLS with the sky now! Hooray for downtime!

Thank you for coming to my TED talk about taking a break when you need one.

Don’t get stuck in the Someday trap. You may never feel completely ready for something new. But guess what? Something new might be ready for YOU and if you put it in the metaphorical deep freezer when it arrives, it might be freezer burnt and unpalatable when you get back to it “someday” . 🤷🏻‍♀️
