❗️Important Notice: Centre Closed Tomorrow Due to Flooding

Dear Families,

Due to flooding at the centre following today’s severe weather, Northview Advent Child Care will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, 2026.

We have been advised that flooding has affected areas of the property, including the lobby, playground, classrooms, kitchen area, and hallways. Given the circumstances, the centre will remain closed to allow for a full assessment of the building conditions and any potential damage.

The health and safety of our children, families, and staff remain our priority, and we cannot reopen until we are confident that the centre is safe and appropriate for children and staff to return.

We will inform families tomorrow if we plan to open on Friday, September 4, 2026.

🌧️☔ Rainy days = play days! 💦

Our preschoolers didn’t let a little rain stop the fun today! They had the best time splashing, exploring, and enjoying the rainy weather together. Of course, no rainy-day adventure would be complete without singing the famous “Rain, Rain, Go Away!” 🎶☔

Sometimes the best childhood memories are made with muddy boots, big puddles, and lots of laughter! 💙🌧️

✨ Children’s End of Summer Book Drive! 📚

As summer comes to an end, we’re excited to bring our Northview Advent Child Care community together through the joy of reading! 💛

From August 31 to October 2, 2026, families are invited to donate gently loved children’s books that your little ones have enjoyed and are ready to pass along.

📖 Share your cherished books and help another child discover a new favourite story!

📦 Donation Box: Located by the couches between the office and staff room
📅 Book Drive: August 31 – October 2, 2026

Every book shared gives another child a new story to discover. 🌟

Thank you to our wonderful families for helping us share the love of books throughout our community! ♥️

🤎 A sweet little surprise at the centre this morning! We spotted a beautiful mama deer and her baby enjoying a peaceful morning nearby. 🌿✨

A special nature moment for our children to observe and enjoy. Sometimes the best learning experiences happen right outside our doors! 🍃🦌💕
