Thank you, Malvern! Our staff enjoyed a delicious and plentiful breakfast this morning thanks to your generous contributions.
Holding this small but meaningful event reminds all of the staff that their efforts do not go unnoticed by their parent and caregiver community. We appreciate their dedicated work, efforts and time that they put into our students' lives every day. β€οΈπ€

Our last council meeting of the year will be taking place next Tuesday May 12th (library, 7pm). It is a great meeting to attend if you feel you may want to get involved in September, as we will be reviewing our executive positions and election process for September.
Our principal Mr. Gotfryd and our teacher representative, Mr. Escobar, will be giving us their final updates and provide some exam information as well. We will also be meeting the new President and Vice-President of the Student Council. Join us!

Another incredible Red & Black Day pulled off by our amazing athletic department, music department, clubs, teams, councils and administrators.
With Birchmount Stadium having been under construction during the Fall, it could have been an easy decision to cancel the whole event. Instead MCI made adjustments and made it happen.
On behalf of the council and all the parent community, we would like to thank the school and the students for executing this annual event so well, making great memories for everyone.
As one teacher from another school commented to us, "This is fantastic! I can't believe the school spirit of Malvern! So many kids actually come out!"
Bravo parents, educators and students! β€οΈπ€

Malvern is excited to introduce their new morning nutrition program, offering a variety of grab-and-go options for students each day.
Students are welcome to stop by the cafeteria before the 5-minute bell to pick up items such as fruit, vegetables, muffins, and cheese. Any remaining items will also be available at lunch.
Although the council did not earmark funds to be contributed to this cause this year, it has in the past. We are thrilled to hear that, with continued effort by the administration, they were finally able to secure ministry funding. ππ§β€οΈπ€

If your teen has been wondering what happened to their favourite hoody, their warm winter jacket or their designer tumbler, remind them to visit the overflowing Lost & Found right outside the front office. Everything will be donated in the next couple weeks and then gone for good! Worth a peak! π

Our administration has reminded us at our last meeting that many of our kids continue to come in after the bell, particularly in first period and third period (often after attendance has been taken).
Let's all remind our young adults that it's against the rules to be late and by doing so they disrupt not only our teachers but the entire class.π°οΈπ«π
