The semester finish line is in sight! Here are some study tips from our lib n learn reps.

✨Study Place
Consider setting up a room specifically for studying. This will assist your body and brain in recognizing when to continue focusing.

✨Avoid Distractions
To avoid online distractions, stop device pop-up notifications and uninstall Netflix, try using a focus software. Do it for your grades!

✨Stack Priorities
Start with your semester's responsibilities and split them. This will help you focus only on what's important now.

✨Take Breaks
It's important to schedule breaks so that you can absorb the information you're learning and recharge.

✨Don't Hesitate!
Reach out to your professors and friends if you face any difficulty or need some help.

Library Search looks like a Google search but instead of websites it searches academic resources. It includes information from published resources such as books, articles from scholarly journals, newspapers, and popular magazines. Find Library Search on the Library's homepage to start searching!

Look for options in the databases or in Library Search to limit your search to peer-reviewed articles. These articles are often lengthy (10+ pages), use technical terminology, and include references to other research. Questions about finding peer-reviewed articles? Schedule a research appointment!

Tools like Canva are a great resource to create beautiful content like social media posts and infographics. They have built in photo libraries to use and these images should still be cited even though they're free. Let's show you how to find the information about the photo to create your citation.

1. Find the picture you want to use in Canva.
2. Hover over the image and click the three little dots that appear.
3. A little window will appear, along the top it should have a title for the image, the creator and the original site the image is from.
4. Write your citation based on your assignment guidelines!
