MAGNETIC LETTERS: A great way to teach letter recognition and letter sounds. Once learners have mastered sounds/recognizing letters, use magnetic letters to teach sight words and reading!

GREATER THAN/LESS THAN!

1. Sort the cards by colour (remove face cards)
2. Shuffle both decks
3. Flip at the same time
4. Determine the greater number
5. Greater number takes cards

A fun way to understand numbers! More activities and extensions to come!

Step 1: Sort the cards (remove face cards)
Step 2: Shuffle the deck
Step 4: Flip 1 at a time
Step 5: Represent the number using the hands-on tools and ten frame

*Extension: Count on and add a second card, teaching addition and helping learners add on to numbers!*
