Looking to RELOCATE ABROAD? I train you to secure admissions and scholarships to relocate abroad
Today, we are discussing reference letters.
Some of you just abandon the reference letter to your referee without caring if they know what it should contain or not.
I was chatting with a graduate coordinator one day and she asked me why some referees write terrible reference letters for people. I know some people that if they don’t have anything to say about you, they will decline writing the letter for you. Some of them will agree and tell them you are NOT a good candidate.
This is not what this post is about, I digress.
Anyways, I have shared what it should contain and who should write it. Now, you have it, do your part.
What was your experience getting a reference letter? Or are you currently struggling to get it? Pls share in the comments.

If you are emailing Professors to supervise you, people like this whose funding just got announced are the people you should email first because you know they have money. They just received funding.
This is one of the things that you learn in the 30 days coaching program. You learn where to find them, how to align your interest with their research and what to say to them.
You already know they have money so at least, you know they won’t tell you they don’t have money. You just need to ge able to get their attention with your email and ensure your email makes them interested in working with you.
Many times, funding announcements are made close to the start of the finding and Professors have to hire students immediately. So they need you too.
When you learn how to do targeted applications, the scholarship and funding application process becomes easier.
If I were you, I will run to LinkedIn and read the article, read about their research, tailor my interests to their research, draft an email and send to them. You will find their email address in the website of the university they are affliiated with. Check the departmental website and then faculty members.
The thing os that many people will continue to lose oou on opportunities like this due to lack of knowledge. It is your responsibility to educate yourself to do things, not the Government’s.
Good luck!

Without any work experience, she applied with a professional reference letter that earned her a 30% scholarship.
She was self-employed for 2 years…so she had no clear way to get a professional reference.
But everything changed after she joined the coaching program.
I showed her a simple strategy to get it right, and that single reference letter helped her secure a 30% scholarship.
If you’re applying for scholarships abroad, you need more than just documents; you need proper guidance.
Schools don’t give out funding freely.
You have to prove you deserve it through your application.
If you’re tired of applying with no results, I’ve prepared a free guide to help you get started the right way.

May was such a great month🙂
In the month of May, I was present with family- we did movies and breakfast out and movie nights at home.
I travelled to the US to celebrate Mercy’s graduation.
Made some research progress
And spent some time learning about building wealth. I am intentional about this in 2026.
Hoping that June is an even better month.

I have decided to stop trying to fit into a box that was not made for me and express myself fully via my content. I will also be expressing all my different interests on this page instead of all the multiple pages that I have created and struggle to keep up with.
So, please, join me on this challenge and if you would like to challenge yourself as well, let’s do it together.
Most people never secure scholarships because of this mistake.
They fill out application forms and expect results, not realizing that they need more than that to stand out from other applicants.
A competitive application is what separates those who get funding from those who don’t.
I’ve explained how to submit a stronger application in a free guide.
