He has taught all age groups and prepared many students for a variety of English proficiency exams, including PET, FCE, CAE, and IELTS. Before teaching English, Dean spent 15 years working as an analytical chemist, starting with a small hazardous waste company and, eventually, a large manufacturing corporation. Meet our instructor Florence D'Costa!
She is a certified junior and intermediate teacher in the province of Ontario and a financial educator. She holds an undergraduate Bachelor's degree from York University and is a part of the Ontario College of Teachers. Along with a teaching license, she also holds licenses for Mutual Funds and the FSCO (Financial Services Commission of Ontario). As an immigrant herself, Florence understands that learning another language is not easy, whether it is learning English as a second language or being multilingual. Along with professionalism in the classroom, she provides an easy transition for immigrants and ESL students to the Canadian culture and the English language, bridging the gap between newcomers and Canadians. Her core belief is that we all have the potential for greatness, which begins with understanding ourselves and others.
