Meet Truffle! .fluff_ Truffle lives in Sunnyvale, CA and was adopted from Monterey Hitchcock Road Animal Services!

Truffle was rescued by Pam after her dog who had been (adopted as a puppy) unexpectedly passed and we were devastated. Pam’s family found it incredibly hard to cope with their empty home and wanted to bring another dog into their family and household to help fill the emptiness.

They knew it was important to adopt their next furry family member because they wanted to give a dog in need a home and a family who would love them unconditionally!

Truffle is perfect! He is sweet, fluffy, and curious. He was picked up by the shelter as a stray. However, he seemed pretty well groomed and was already crate and house trained so he must’ve had an owner previously.

Pam’s family definitely recommends adoption! Both shelters and rescue organizations are good choices to adopt from depending on what you are looking for and the sort of time commitment you have. Adopting a new furry friend means you are giving them a second chance to live the perfect life with you.

Joao, , volunteers with Animal Rescue Algarve (ARA) in Loué. Joao is in the process of studying to become a vet as he has always had a passion to help animals. Through a friend, Joao found out that ARA was in need of volunteers, so he decided to sign up. ⠀

Joao says there are many wonderful things about working with animals such as love and affection, however, Joao loves studying animal behaviour! By being with animals, you are able to learn how to interpret and understand their behaviours. ⠀

For example, at the beginning of Joao’s experience with ARA, he worked with two dogs who were extremely scared of people. It took him 20 minutes to calm them down and put them on a leash however, from that experience he learned how to better interact with that type of dog in that type of circumstance! Joao says that that experience was extremely valuable to him and may come in handy one day as a vet!⠀

Joao says that everyone should volunteer (just like how he has already convinced all his friends to volunteer with him!). ⠀

Meet Pablo - a brave cat that no one believes is blind. Pablo was found when he was less than a month old kitten. He was very weak and his eyes looked more like small rocks...

He needed a foster home to become stronger and prepare for an eyesurgery. That's when Pablo and met. After a long road until the surgery and recovery period, they became so inseperable, there was only one option.

Even though its called "foster fail", its far from that. Yes, Pablo is blind. But he is much more than that. He is funny, clever, a drama queen. He loves playing fetch. Rami can't imagine her life without this goofball who has become such a mama's boy.

Rami hopes that sharing her story about her and Pablo’s friendship can help others decide to adopt "different" pets without home. It's so rewarding.

The Philly Bully Team, , recently rescued Carson and changed his entire life!⠀

Carson came to Philly Bully Team after a family was no longer able to care for him or his mother so they surrendered them to ACCT. Carson has allergies and eye problems, which can be expensive maintenance care. He then came into Deanna’s () care when her coworkers' stepdaughter was fostering him.⠀

Carson is low energy 90% of the time but becomes a total energetic goofball! He loves going on walks and he is super affectionate.⠀

Richelle, , started this rescue herself in Tulu, Mexico, and through her rescue she has fostered over 200 rescue pups in the last 4.5 years! ⠀

She owns a yoga studio in Tulum and the rescue work became part of what she offers at the studio and part of the training courses she leads. She started fostering after she found a puppy dumped outside her gate, and eventually one puppy led to another. It’s her way to give back and share her love for animals.⠀

Richelle loves nursing a sick puppy back to life and helping them build trust after abuse or abandonment. She also loves the patience it has taught and given her. ⠀
She says that if you can foster, please do so. People assume that someone else will help… but that’s not the case. You are not only helping an animal that was rejected by society, but you are also giving back to the community you live in or are visiting. ⠀

Nala, , was adopted by her mom Alex from the Cedar Creek Lakes Humane Society so she could have a new best friend. Before being adopted, Nala was found in a ditch on the side of the road with the rest of her litter, but she's safe at home now!⠀

🚨Foster Parent Appreciation Post
We do our best to keep up with all of the amazing foster parents who’ve chosen to be a part of the Let’s Save Animals Community! We look at your pages, we enjoy your photos, we read your posts, we watch your stories & we’re always excited to hear from each of you in our DMs!

We’ve watched our Foster Community go through so many highs and lows! We’ve seen animals make miraculous recoveries with the help of dedicated foster parents but we’ve also seen some animals pass away in-spite of the animal rescue & foster parents doing everything in their power to save them.

G*i Dan Jai and Gak Jai Beng, , are two cats from Hong Kong who were adopted by Janne from .bean.ding! She chose to adopt a cat because she sees cats as friends that can help reduce stress and improve mental health! ⠀

The best things about her cats are how adorable they always are, how they come to her feet to ask for a huge, and how they meow to wake her up in the morning! ⠀

Janne would recommend adoption to others because there are thousands of cats homeless with no food or shelter and they deserve love too! Furthermore, Janne says that we shouldn’t support breeding grounds and pet shops that don’t have the animal’s best interest at heart. ⠀

Drop a 💪🏽 to show Nicole some love for rescuing Franklin! ❤️ Nicole paid to save Franklin, , from a fur farm and adopted him afterwards! Nicole decided to adopt Franklin as she had always loved minks and to prevent him from being abused and killed on a mink farm.⠀

Nicole says that in Italy, where she is from, saving adult minks are extremely difficult as the fur farm will not let them out, she soon discovered that the only way to save a mink was to buy a baby mink before it was sent to a fur farm, so she did that!⠀

Three things Nicole loves about Franklin is the fact that even though he’s a wild animal, he thinks she is his mom and always wants to stay with her, play with her and cuddle. ⠀

Nicole recommends adoption and rescued animals because it’s a wonderful way to give them a chance to live a happy life!⠀

Meet Paisley, , she was rescued by and fostered by Sophie who has fostered 58 animals over 3.5 years.⠀
⠀
Paisley’s original owners had 3 other guinea pigs, 2 of which were pregnant, this was overwhelming for them, so they decided to surrender all of them. ⠀
⠀
Her journey with them has been easy since this is her 3rd guinea pig litter that she has raised from birth. They go to homes once they’re a month old, and they’ve all be adopted now! ⠀

Sophie would 100% recommend fostering because it’s a great way to experience owning various pets without fully committing to them! A lot of people say they would get too attached but that’s the point: we want these animals to know, trust, and attach to humans to better prepare them for forever homes. It’s all about them!⠀
