Dear OISE Students,
Here is an opportunity you have been looking for; the “NBEPS”. Sign up today!
The LHAE Nina Bascia Educational Policy Symposium (NBEPS) - Mock Poster Conference
During this Inaugural Mock Poster Conference, OISE students will showcase their work through a simulation poster conference called the Nina Bascia Educational Policy Symposium (NBEPS), in honour of Dr. Nina Bascia, Professor and long-serving LHAE Chair. Its purpose is to prepare students for larger conferences while simultaneously offering them an opportunity to disseminate their work in a low-pressure, low-expectations, inclusive environment.
This event will take place from 10:00AM-1:00PM on Saturday, November 5th in the OISE Library (252 Bloor St W), at the St. George campus. OISE students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend.
Those interested in participating are invited to indicate their attendance via this online form by 23:59 EST, October 15th: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cnR-Smt0mwH4QduEaWMwMr7k9QUH0DqibR9qgFJIMBU/edit?ts=632ce545. Please note that your application to participate in the NBEPS, including a mandatory 150 word abstract, will be reviewed by our selection committee. Based on the number of submissions received, we may not invite all applicants to present their research but we shall respond to everyone accordingly. Recommendations to accessible conference grants will be made to all selected abstracts.
We look forward to reading your applications and seeing at the NBEPS where you can prepare for future conferences and network with your peers/colleagues!
