I think this is the first year where I haven't been looking forward to the last day of school.
We will be saying goodbye to Mrs. Lasiuk, Mrs. Fernquist, Mrs. Hughes, and Mrs. Wickstrom. I have said many times that I truly work in the best place. This is because of the relationships that I have with the people I work with and the wonderful students.
Chelsea, Larissa, Heather and Reanne you have all had a huge impact on the students in our school. You have also become more than just coworkers, but friends as well. I couldn't have asked for better people to work with...you are what Tompkins School is all about.
Thank you for your dedication, caring, passion, and humor. Tompkins school won't be quite the same without all of you.

That's a wrap!
It was another amazing year at Tompkins school! These students made this year memorable and we will always cherish the memories. Good luck to the Grade Fives next year at Gull Lake School. We will miss you, but we know that you will do awesome!
We are already looking forward to and planning for next year. Have a great summer everyone!

Last Friday, our students enjoyed a fun-filled "Not a Sleepover, Sleepover" day at school! They arrived in their cozy pyjamas and started the morning with delicious muffins and fresh fruit for breakfast. The fun continued with a movie, followed by a tasty taco bar for lunch. In the afternoon, students enjoyed games, snacks, and plenty of laughter with their classmates.

It was a wonderful day filled with fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories. We're so glad our students had the opportunity to relax, connect, and celebrate the end of the school year together!

Tompkins School Year End Celebration
We started the evening off with our Share Your Joy projects. The students shared a passion of theirs with family and community members. It was so awesome to share in their excitement as they showcased their projects.
We then headed to the gym for our Year End Program. The students showcased their talents with bucket drumming, a guitar performance and a dance number that they choreographed themselves.
It was an emotional and wonderful evening full of memories as we said goodbye to our Grade 5 boys and 3 staff members.
Cecil, Lowell, Zander and Zach, we will miss you at Tompkins School. Good luck at Gull Lake School next year and make sure to stop in and say hi.
Mrs. Lasiuk, Mrs. Fernquist and Mrs. Hughes, you have all been a very important part of our Tompkins School family for years. You will be incredibly missed and we thank you for all of the special memories over the years. Tompkins School won't be quite the same without all of you, but we will definitely keep in touch!
It was another wonderful year at Tompkins School and we are already looking forward to and planning for next year...it will be the best year yet!!

Tompkins School had there Playday on Friday, June 12th. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped cheer on the students, they all did great!

Quite a few years ago a group of moms, grandmas and community members came to help our students make quilts using material that was donated by Gerry Ann Hughes. After this activity a tradition was started where a local quilting group then gave every student who started Tompkins school a quilt. When the students leave our school, they take home their quilt as a keepsake.This year, Rowan was lucky to receive his quilt that Gerry Ann made. Thank you so much Gerry Hughes !! ❤️

The grade 3-5s have been working hard at learning guitar these past few months and they can’t wait to share a little of what they’ve learned at our year end celebration!

Tompkins School Field Trip to Maple Creek!

What a fantastic day in Maple Creek! Students had a wonderful time playing, seeing and feeding animals at Grotto Gardens, exploring the museum through a fun scavenger hunt, and finishing the day with delicious ice cream sandwiches.

There were lots of smiles, learning opportunities, and great memories
made throughout the trip ❤️
