Join us for an hour of directed & self directed mindfulness exercises, guided walks, and circle time to start the day with intention.  Families are welcome to join campers for this time.

Hi all, 
I hope you’ve all been enjoying the warmer weather this Spring. 
We are getting excited for our summer nature kids programs! 
We’ve updated the website for the dates/programs/prices for 2024. 

Our classic beach day program will still be during the weekdays from 9:30am-2:30pm.
We will be operating all nine weeks of the summer break this year from July 2nd to August 30th. 

We’ve included an additional weekday morning program from 8:30am-9:30am called Morning Mindfulness. 
Join our instructors for an hour of directed & self directed mindfulness exercises, guided walks, and circle time to start the day with intention.  Families are welcome to join campers for this time.

We are also interested in operating an early years program (2-3yr olds) from 9:00am - 11:00am twice a week depending on interest. Families would be required to be on the Wickaninnish Inn property for their little ones. Please let us know if this interests you! 

We will be shifting our mailing list to be hosted on Mailchimp so please let us know if you’d like to opt out of email communication from us this year.

"Campers will explore the forest and swamp at the Wickaninnish Community School while learning about the animals that live on and visit the property. Campers will develop a keen sense for the daily and seasonal changes to the landscape, identify paw prints and tracks, and learn how to build some DIY tools to help study the world around us. Campers will learn all these skills through games, songs, and stories. Plenty of time will be set aside for free play and exploration"

There is a minimum # of participants required (10) for the session so please send an email asap if you are interested. Students need not be registered at the community school to join the spring break camps! So, invite your friends or family who may be visiting. We will send more specific information and the family handbook to those who register this week.

Hi all,
We here at Tofino Nature Kids are big supporters of our local surfing community- especially the groms that are up and coming here in town. Some of our campers are repeat competitors in the - not to mention our own toddler! We love to see community events like this continue to take place. We are auctioning off 1 weeks (5 days) of our Summer Beach days for 2024. This has an approx value of 287.50 CAD.

Our starting bid is 200.00 CAD
The bidding will close on Friday, Sept 8 at 9:00pm PST. Bidding will take place on our Instagram account. Open now!
The winner will be contacted by DM to provide their email to arrange payment. Once payment is received we will send all proceeds to the organizers of the event.

Hello all,
Caleb, Bethany, and Elliot here to introduce ourselves to the Tofino Nature Kids crew. We are a local family who were born and raised here on Vancouver Island. Bethany is a ER nurse in Tofino while Caleb works at the elementary school. We grew up camping, surfing, foraging, and loving every corner of this island. We are passionate about the water, the woods, and the anchor that nature provides.
Caleb & Heather worked together in town for a few years and we all saw what a service she provided to the community.
We’ve had the privilege to take over Tofino Nature Kids from Heather.
We strongly believe that the great moments in life take place outside and that time in nature is foundational to the development of strong and empathetic adults.
We’re excited to open up the Tofino Nature Kids ‘doors’ again in 2023.
