New dates for our Fall After-School Programs starting this week at the Wickaninnish Community School!

Give your child an exciting opportunity to learn, explore, and connect with nature through hands-on and always screen-free outdoor adventures.

Monday — Grades 5–7, with a special focus on bushcraft, camping skills, and designing and creating our own outdoor gear.
Wednesday — Grades K–5
Thursday — Grades K-7

Programs run from late September through early December and cost $273.00 for the term.

Spaces are limited, so register soon and let your child discover the joy of outdoor learning, creativity, and adventure this fall!

Hey Families, do you have a young ripper looking to develop their skills? Have a kiddo who has never tried surfing but wants to give it a go? Have a water addict that can’t get enough beach time? We have you covered! We here at Tofino Nature Kids are stoked to announce at partnership with ! Coach Aaron will be running a surf camp 3 x a week (Mon,Tues,Weds) immediately after our Nature Kids camps. Registration will be through them on their site. Make sure you let them know we sent you! Here is the program information :)
This beginner surf program reflects what is built on! �Keeping it safe, keeping it fun, and helping kids genuinely improve in the ocean.
Each session blends ocean safety education with hands-on coaching, teaching participants how to move confidently through the water, understand conditions, paddle efficiently, and pop up with control. With small group sizes, kids receive real feedback and structured progression while the energy stays high, supportive, and encouraging.
The goal is simple: create a positive week in the ocean where confidence builds naturally, friendships form, and the stoke stays
high!
Beginner Focus (Ages 6–12)
•Ocean safety fundamentals
• Board handling and paddling basics
• Whitewater and potential green wave riding!
• Pop-up progression
• Balance and stance development
Goal: Build strong surf fundamentals and lasting comfort in the ocean while keeping every session fun and confidence-building.

Hi Families,
Just a reminder that we have three Pro-D camps this Spring!
April 24, May 11, and June 26, 2026
9:30am to 2:30pm
Ages 5 - 13
Registration is live at tofinonaturekids.jumbula.com (link in bio)
There is a 15% discount for additional siblings.
These camps are based on the elements we are all connected too.
April is Fire - Songs, stories, games about the importance of fire and fire keeping. This day includes building and lighting a fire together. Families are welcome to join for the closing circle time.
May is Water - This camp will focus on our connection to water as a provider of life. This camp will include time spent building water proof camping gear and forts.
June is Earth - Join us to explore Earth as a home for humans and all other creatures. We will learn how to track animals, identify nests/dens, and play wide games as our favourite animals.
Our June camp will end with a party/potluck to kick off the summer!

We are so excited to announce the newest member of our family here at - Josephine June Harding. She was born in a winter storm that we brought from Tofino to Victoria - including a power outage the night before her birth! We are back home now and enjoying the new baby glow and slow days. Thank you to everyone who was keeping us in their thoughts/prayers. Another huge thank you to all the grandparents/aunts/uncles that took care of us while in Victoria and making the transition home so easy. We’re excited to show Josie all the beautiful and wonderful things this planet has to offer ☀️
