Thank you to Beaver EMS for bringing an ambulance to our centre this summer.
We had an amazing visit from the paramedic team here in Tofield. We had the opportunity to honk the horn, check out the computer, check our heart rate, twist the oxygen valve, try on gloves and masks, lie on the stretcher, and turn on the siren and lights. All of this made for an amazing opportunity for dramatic play. The children took turns making up injuries and then lying on the stretcher while the other children performed surgeries on them. (There were a lot of pretend amputations!)
Thank you to our paramedic team here in Tofield for your hard work and commitment to our community.
Through this experience, the children learn to be responsible and responsible members of the community. They are learning sympathy and empathy for others. They give help, comfort and encouragement and value others' contributions. They respect the materials, equipment, and spaces shared with others.

The course will be located at the church, and will be running on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm, from January 14th to March 4th.

We will also be providing childcare for your children if needed while you attend the course.

Please let us know if you will be attending. As well, we will need to know if you will be bringing your children with you.

Here is a summary of the course.
What is successful parenting all about, and what are the tools you need to become the parent you want to be?

The guiding principle in Parenting 101 is that parenting well is all about connection. The quality and health of the heart-to-heart connections in our families is what creates an environment of love, safety, peace, and growth.

Every concept and tool we explore in this course is designed to equip you to build a culture of healthy connection in your home. In these eight sessions together, we will cover:

–Teaching kids to make powerful choices
-Prioritizing your marriage
-How to build a family culture creed
-How to prevent and repair damaged connections
-Ways to navigate common parenting challenges

We hope you will be able to join us, and we can grow and learn together.
