🌊☀️ Week 8 Recap: Ocean Discovery! ☀️🌊

Another amazing week of Summer Day Camp is in the books! Our campers spent the week learning, creating, exploring, and making the most of every summer adventure. 🐠🎨

This week we:
🏞️ Took a field trip to Kettle Lakes Provincial Parkand enjoyed a beautiful day of outdoor fun
💧 Welcomed the Mattagami Region Conservation Authority for an awesome presentation about the source of our municipal drinking water
🎨 Painted, crafted, and let our creativity shine
🤝 Learned, explored, and made even more memories with our camp friends

A huge thank you to MRCA for helping our campers learn more about where our water comes from and why protecting our water sources is so important! 💙

And just like that… we're heading into our FINAL WEEK of Summer Day Camp! ☀️

We're ending the summer with a week full of building, creating, experimenting, problem-solving, and putting our imaginations to work. We can't wait to see what our campers invent!

🌈🎨 Week 7 Recap: Art Attack! 🎨🌈

Another creative week of Summer Day Camp has come to an end, and our campers certainly let their imaginations run wild during Art Attack Week!

This week we:

🎨 Created colourful window clings to brighten up our spaces
🫧 Got messy and creative with outdoor foam paint
💡 Learned important water and dam safety tips during a presentation from Ontario Power Generation
🌊 Enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to White Waterfront Park
🤝 Worked together, explored our creativity, and made memories with friends

From painting and crafting to outdoor adventures and learning opportunities, our campers had a fantastic week expressing themselves and trying new things.

🐠🌊 Next week is Ocean Discovery Week! Campers will dive into all things ocean-related through hands-on activities, games, experiments, and exciting discoveries as we wrap up another amazing summer at camp.

Thank you to our campers, families, staff, and community partners for making Art Attack Week such a success. We can't wait to see what treasures we'll discover beneath the waves next week!

🎪🎉 Week 6 Recap: Carnival Week! 🎉🎪

What a fun-filled week at Summer Day Camp! Our campers enjoyed all the excitement and energy of Carnival Week, packed with games, activities, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to make lasting memories with friends.

This week we:
🎭 Showed off our creativity and imagination during our Costume/Carnival Day
🧪 Explored hands-on science activities and experiments
🎉 Participated in carnival-themed games and challenges
🤝 Worked together, cheered each other on, and celebrated another amazing week of camp

A huge thank you to our eldest camper group who helped plan and run our carnival games and activities!

🎨 Next week is Art Attack! Get ready for a week filled with creativity, self-expression, messy masterpieces, and artistic adventures. We can't wait to see what our young artists create!
