Position Title: Placement Coordinator
Program: Early Childhood Education
Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) focus; remote/virtual
Position Type: Part-time contract, $32.24/hr for up to 24 hours per week
Start Date: Immediately until March 31, 2027 with possibility of extension
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Dean, Business and Community Services, the part-time Placement Coordinator supports work integrated learning and field placement coordination for Early Childhood Education students with a focus on the Greater Toronto Area. Most work may be completed remotely/virtually; however, knowledge of the ECE field and established contacts with childcare agencies, school boards, and community partners are assets. The role liaises with faculty, students, and community partners to plan placement opportunities, communicate requirements, maintain records, support documentation, and respond to routine placement questions or concerns.
Key Duties:
- Coordinate field placement processes with students, faculty, and placement agencies.
- Support placement documentation, readiness requirements, resumes, and agency forms.
- Maintain placement records, agency contacts, schedules, and tracking information.
- Assist with matching students to placement opportunities based on program, student, and agency needs.
- Liaise with childcare agencies, school boards, and community partners to plan work-integrated learning and placement opportunities.
- Respond to routine placement questions or concerns, escalating complex matters as required.
- Assist with orientations, preparation activities, manual updates, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience coordinating placements, practicums, work-integrated learning, or community partnerships is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of the GTA ECE sector and related agency or school board contacts is an asset.

Introducing Generations Rising: An Indigenous Scholarship & Mentorship Program
At Agnico Eagle, we believe in investing in the next generation of Indigenous leaders. We’re proud to launch Generations Rising, a new Indigenous Scholarship & Mentorship Program that reflects Agnico Eagle's Reconciliation Action Plan, specifically Pillar 2 - Commitment to Education (Action 11). Eligible students receive up to $10,000 CAD per year for up to four years, along with mentorship, career development, and meaningful connections across Agnico Eagle.
Generations Rising welcomes students from all the regions where Agnico Eagle operates who are pursuing a wide range of paths - trades, health sciences, business, engineering, environmental studies, education, communications, Indigenous and community relations, and more.

Another great day on the course!
Northern College is proud to return as a supporter and participant in this year's Timmins Construction Association Golf Tournament.
