O'Gorman High School: Timmins

Today, students at O'Gorman High School enjoyed a fun lunchtime sidewalk chalk competition organized by Madison Santanen. With beautiful sunshine overhead, students gathered outside to socialize, create colourful artwork, and enjoy music together.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with one another, build positive relationships, and showcase their creativity. It was inspiring to see students encouraging each other, sharing kind words, and celebrating each other's artistic talents.

A big thank you to our student organizer and everyone who participated in making today's lunch hour such a positive and welcoming experience. Days like these remind us that school is about more than academics—it's also about building community, fostering friendships, and creating memories together! 🌞💙

Today, we celebrated two great traditions that highlight the spirit of our school community.

🏆 Academic Awards recognized students for their hard work, dedication, achievement, leadership, and commitment to excellence throughout the school year. We are incredibly proud of all students who were honoured today.

🌭🎯 Day in the Parking Lot brought students together for an afternoon of fun, food, games, and community-building as we celebrated another successful school year. It was wonderful to see so many students enjoying time together and making lasting memories.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of the staff who helped organize and support these events. Your time, effort, and dedication made today possible.

👶📚💚 Experiential learning in action! 💚📚👶

A key part of our Working with Infants and Young Children course is hands-on learning, and all semester long, O'Gorman students have enjoyed weekly visits to Mrs. Collins' Kindergarten classroom at Pope Francis School! 🏫✨

Throughout the semester, our students:
📖 Read with their kindergarten buddies
🎨 Created crafts to support fine motor development
👐 Made homemade playdough for sensory exploration
🏃 Designed outdoor activities to build gross motor skills
🤝 Built meaningful relationships with young learners and observed experienced educators in action

☀️ We wrapped up our final visit with Freezies 🍧 and outdoor free play, celebrating a wonderful semester of learning, laughter, and connection!

A huge thank you to ❤️ Mrs. Collins, ❤️ Mrs. Koops, ❤️ Mrs. Bisson, and all of our amazing reading buddies for making this experience so special. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside you! 🙏😊

What an incredible evening celebrating the dedication, achievements, and sportsmanship of our OHS student-athletes! From championship moments to personal bests, tonight was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the hard work, perseverance, and commitment that our athletes have demonstrated throughout the year. 👏🏅

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Vincze and her classes for preparing and serving the delicious meal that helped make the evening so special. Your hard work, talent, and attention to detail were greatly appreciated by everyone in attendance! 🍽️👨‍🍳👩‍🍳
